Hi Traders!

May is near its end and it is time to summarize the results from the 3 strategies sRs Trend Rider 2, Forex Triple B and Libra Code that I trade as a portfolio.

Overall it was a very profitable month as we gained +20% (not compounded). Can we expect that every single month – of course not! But as long as we know how to lose LESS than we make, the balance curve will be pointing upwards.

As you can see trading could be easy and fun or it could be rocket science and roller-coaster for the nerves. I will try to summarize my over 12 years of experience in a few rules. Let’s call them:

Vlad’s 101 Trading Rules

1. Always have a plan or a strategy in place BEFORE you enter the trade.
2. Always stick to your plan – don’t change it in the middle of trade.
3. Earn more than you lose (risk-reward ratio is the king).
4. Learn to be patient:  100% of the losing traders fail (completely or partially) because of impatience.
5. Don’t force the market ideas/setups – clear and good setups are confirmed immediately. If you have to go and check again, if you have to zoom in to confirm, IF IF IF. If you find yourself stuck on a chart for more than a minute or two, without a clear vision on what and how you are going to trade – skip it (of course i’m not talking about the time when you are learning how to read and analyze the charts).
6. Less is more – trading less setups with higher quality, will bring you a lot, and I really mean A LOT more profits than trading more setups with no so good quality. Remember that we are trading for profits which is money, which is return on our investment. We are not trading in a contest where they give prize to the trader with most trades in his account. Every time you want to pull the trigger and it is not 100% amazing setup – ask yourself this: “Do I want number of trades or I want returns?”
